3 Ways to Level Up Your Self-Care Routine

A lot of times when we hear self-care we think of massages and spa days, but the truth is, self-care is so much deeper than that. I define self-care as exactly as it sounds, the care of self. That means every area of life including the areas of mental, physical, spiritual, emotional, and financial. It is so important to make self-care a daily practice so that you know how to fill yourself when these areas begin to feel depleted. Let’s talk about a few ways that you can practice daily self-care.

1. Mental and spiritual self-care are two very important and vital areas to focus on first. It is important to have a daily practice of praying, meditating, journaling, and using these as tools to decompress. When you are feeling overwhelmed, it is likely because you haven’t taken the time to decompress and get an understanding of your feelings. Make part of your morning and night routine to include all of these habits. This is something you should do on a daily basis.

2. Having habits that help your physical area of life will help you to keep your body moving and healthy. If you are over 35 like me, you’ll notice that your bounce back is not like it was in your 20’s. Take small steps in your physical routine. You can start by adding vitamins and minerals to your diet and being mindful about what and when you eat and why. Over the last month I have worked out 3 days a week and it fits perfect into my schedule and gives my body time to recover. What can you add to your physical self-care?

3. Let’s talk finances. Your financial health can affect your mental and physical health so avoiding it is going to make it worst. Start off by reviewing your budget once a week and creating goals that will get you to the financial freedom that you desire. You can take a Saturday morning to review your bills and goals and don’t forget to celebrate the milestones that you hit. You can start by attacking your debt and saving. Remember that it takes time so don’t feel like you have to rush this process. Make sure that you work on your goals weekly.

I hope that these tips have been a blessing to you. One of the best and quickest ways to reach your goals is accountability. When we are accountable to someone, we are more likely to achieve our goals and stretch ourselves because we know someone is rooting us on to win. I want to help you win and find fulfillment. If you are ready to finally achieve your goals and not waste any more time, book a consultation with me. I am ready to serve you and root you on!
